Intra-abdominal hypertension syndrome in abdominal surgery

Intra-abdominal hypertension is a common complication in critically ill patients that can lead to multiple organ failure and is associated with poor outcome. Despite the fact that today a large amount of data on this pathology has accumulated, modern algorithms for the treatment of intra-abdominal hypertension still have limitations due to insufficient evidence base. This article is aimed at consolidating existing knowledge about the tactics of managing patients with intra-abdominal hypertension syndrome in abdominal surgery.
