Topical issues of diagnosis of postoperative pancreatitis and the main directions of prevention of its development

Acute postoperative pancreatitis (API) is a significant problem in abdominal surgery due to the aggravation of the postoperative period and the development of life-threatening complications. A number of surgical interventions, both directly on the pancreas itself and on anatomically adjacent organs, contribute to the development of AKI. In this regard, the tactics of managing patients of this profile should include a set of clinical, laboratory and instrumental methods that allow diagnosing the development of this complication in the early stages of the postoperative period. In addition, it is considered expedient to carry out combined schemes of preventive measures, both at the stage of performing an operational benefit and in the preoperative period (introduction of synthetic analogues of somatostatin, antioxidant, antibacterial drugs, etc.).
