Recently, blastocytosis has been of great interest to researchers due to the high prevalence in patients with a gastroenterological profile and a fairly frequent detection in the composition of various mixed infections. Clinical manifestations of blastocytosis range from asymptomatic carriage and diarrheal syndrome to severe ulcerative necrotic lesions of the colonic mucosa. A simple and accessible method for assessing functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract against the background of blastocyst invasion is a scatological study. Evaluation of the contents of the intestine allows you to determine the condition of the mucous membrane of the large intestine, to analyze the digestive and motor functions of the stomach and intestines, which can be used when choosing treatment tactics.
