In this work, we studied the dynamics of changes in the cytokine profile of pro- and anti-inflammatory series (IL-1β, IL1RA, IL2, IL4, IL-6, IL10, α-TNF and CRP) under: activation of whole blood cells by a mitogen ex vivo and the action of a plant immunomodulator origin of "Echinacea" in healthy individuals with different genetic status for the genes of the family of cytokines interleukin-1 (IL-1β (rs1143634), IL1RA(VNTR in intron 2), IL1R1(rs2287047).
Among the examined individuals were identified with better responsiveness to the immunomodulator, which are carriers of combinations of genotypes of the interleukin-1 family (IL-1β (rs1143634), IL1Ra (VNTR), IL1RI (rs2287047): СС//I/I//TT, СС//I /II/TT, СT//I/II/TC.
An effective response to immunomodulation is provided by the genetically determined well-coordinated work of the cytokine-antagonist-receptor system for cytokines of the interleukin-1 family, which determines the correct launch of the cytokine cascade.
