Inadequate and unbalanced nutrition has an adverse effect on the digestive system of the child's body, the consequences of which can be very sad. It is very important to pay attention not only to what the child eats, but also to when, how and in what environment he eats. Proper diet and rationality of nutrition are necessary in order for food to be better used by the body, and in order to prevent the development of acute and chronic diseases of the stomach and intestines. The article identifies the problem of nutrition of school-age children and shows the relationship between irrational nutrition and its impact on the development of gastrointestinal tract diseases in children of school age in certain districts of the Republic of Mordovia.
