The paper considers the development and use of software training tools having the potential for improvement in a rapidly changing informational professional environment.
Based on the analysis of programming languages, source codes of programs, English-language forums and blogs of programmers, a structural and functional model for optimizing the mastering of professional vocabulary by IT means has been developed. The frequency and semantic analysis of text data was carried out. Also we created databases of lexical units, which became the basis of the software package for teaching and testing students. The software package, which includes modules for training English professional vocabulary and testing its mastering, is written in the C# programming language using Windows Form.
The article uses a new approach to filtering and ranking by frequency of lexical units’ occurrence, which can become the basis for further research by the authors and all interested parties.
