PURULENT-DESTRUCTIVE DISEASES OF THE CHEST WALL: DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENT, PREVENTION

Diseases of the bone frame of the chest can be diverse, and one of the most serious and dangerous are purulent-destructive diseases of the chest wall (GDZGS): osteomyelitis, sternomediastenitis (CM). These conditions are characterized by an infectious lesion and destruction of tissues in the chest area, which can lead to serious consequences if they are not treated in time. In recent decades, purulent-destructive diseases of the chest wall have become increasingly relevant in clinical practice. These diseases, characterized by extensive infectious processes, often lead to serious complications and can cause a significant decrease in the quality of life of patients. Especially important are the methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of these pathologies. This article presents the results of many years of research, including an analysis of the effectiveness of various diagnostic methods, such as computed tomography (sensitivity 94%, specificity 89%), and new antimicrobial drugs with a high level of effectiveness. The article is aimed at doctors of various specializations dealing with the problems of purulent-destructive diseases of the chest wall.
