With modern surgery and medical skill levels, interventions in childhood, especially in newborns, can cause complications. In Russia, the situation with child mortality from congenital malformations (CDD) is complex. Despite antenatal examination algorithms, congenital malformation occurs in 5% of newborns, but accounts for more than 25% of the structure of child mortality, and about 30% of children have several developmental anomalies, most often in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT). The etiology of congenital malformation is often related to genetics and environmental influences. The main task of doctors is the diagnosis of gastrointestinal problems, timely treatment and rehabilitation. It is important to understand the relationship between congenital malformation and complications after surgery, as well as to correct metabolic disorders before surgery.
