CALENDAR ANALYSIS OF THE TIME SERIES OF EARTHQUAKES

Dudin Sergey Aleksandrovich  (Candidate of Sciences in Technology, Senior Research Officer Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences Institute of Physical Materials Science, Russia, Ulan-Ude )

The article discusses the issues of calculating the probability and possible forecast of earthquakes using eastern cycles (60 and 12-year calendar, monthly, mange, new moon and 24-hour cycle according to universal (UTC) and local time). The comparison is made with 1,132 earthquakes over 122 years from 1901 to 2022 (44,250 days, presented as a time series). Different earthquake probabilities in different calendar cycles indicate the possibility of a potential forecast in calculated cycles. As an example, a calendar analysis of the eastern calendar (Tibetan version) of the catastrophic earthquake in Japan on March 11, 2022 was considered.

Keywords:earthquakes, forecast, eastern calendar, time cycles, data analysis.
