Scanning is the process of obtaining an accurate three–dimensional model of teeth and surrounding tissues. This method is used in dentistry for diagnosis, treatment planning and the creation of dentures. Currently, dentistry is faced with the constant development and introduction of new technologies that significantly improve the quality and effectiveness of dental practice. One of the latest innovations with great potential to facilitate and improve the work of dentists is intraoral scanning. However, despite the advantages, this technology has certain disadvantages, the study of which is important to improve the quality of dental care.
The purpose of this study is to study the main advantages of intraoral scanning in comparison with traditional methods of impression and analysis.
