THE QUESTION OF THE USE OF THE TERM “DIGITAL DOUBLE” IN THE MODERN INFORMATION SOCIETY

Introduction. The article is devoted to the problems in the modern information space related to the definition and application of the term "digital twin". The article analyzes the modern general definition of a digital double using the semantics of language constructions. The assessment of the relevance of the modern concept and the possibility of useful application of the concept of "digital twin" in various sectors of human activity is given. The correctness of the conducted research is confirmed by means of testing with the involvement of experts. The purpose of the work is to determine the spectrum of tasks of modern engineering, where clarification of the conceptual space of the definition of "digital twin" is required. A modern concept. Consideration of the concept under study allows us to identify key points, determine the criteria of conformity and types of the term in question, generally accepted in modern society. The information obtained allows us to form an idea of an abstract idea of the necessary and desired capabilities of doubles. Problems of the concept. Applying semantic methods to previously defined data, the definition and criteria of digital doubles with their isolation and transformation into a formula expression are investigated. The validity of the proposed expressions is considered in practice. An example of the problem associated with the vagueness of the definition and emerging contradictions in the classical concept of a digital double is demonstrated. For a detailed study of the modern concept of the term, testing was carried out by a group of experts formed taking into account the application of this technology in various fields. The conducted research confirmed the problems and differences in the representation of doubles, and also allowed us to talk about the need for clarification, refinement and subsequent adaptation to the modern field of computer graphics and further development of the term. expert testing allows us to draw additional conclusions that at the moment, from the point of view of terminology, the idea of digital twins causes difficulties for information technology specialists. Reworking or clarifying the term will improve interdisciplinary interaction in various fields and at different levels of human interaction.
