PRINCIPLES AND METHODS OF DEVELOPING INFORMATION MODELS IN SYSTEMS DESIGN

Doshchik Konstantin Viktorovich  (postgraduate student of FSBEI HE "KSTU" Russian Federation, Kaliningrad )

In conditions of fierce competition in the information technology market, in particular software, requirements are imposed on systems that determine the consumer qualities of the product. An important part of the set of requirements is the requirements for information support. A viable information system must process input data in optimal ways and produce results to the user. To do this, a systems engineer needs to competently design an information model of the future system. The information model is the basis for constructing the object and logical structure of the system. The database is designed on its basis, and the databases of modern applications must be well structured and thought out. The purpose of this article is to consider the methodology for developing information models of information systems. The article discusses object and functional approaches using various methodologies (UML, SADT, Requirements Engineering). As a result, recommendations are given on the order and sequence of developing information models.

Keywords:information model, information system, engineering, system analysis, logical structure, database, conceptual model, UML, DFD
