FIRST LESSONS OF COVID-19 IN OBSTETRICS

This article discusses the issues of studying the impact of coronavirus infection COVID-19 on the course of pregnancy, as well as the interaction between mother and fetus. For this purpose, the results of foreign and domestic studies for 2020-2022, based on an analysis of clinical practice, were considered. It is concluded that the presence of infection with the COVID-19 virus, both in pregnant women and those who have had the disease and subsequently become pregnant, leads to complications and pathologies, both in the woman in labor and in her fetus. Despite the already established approaches, further medical research is necessary in order to find the most effective methods of therapy and diagnosis, as well as the development of algorithms, methodological approaches, and tools for determining standard treatment procedures for various coronavirus infections, including using digital technologies.
