prolapse and prolapse of the internal genital organs is one of the most common diseases, usually occurring in older women and necessitating surgical intervention. Considering the trend towards increasing life expectancy and improving quality of life, we can predict an increase in the number of operations performed to correct this pathology. Taking into account the latest research on complications after the use of mesh implants for the correction of genital prolapse, we can conclude that a change in the approach to treating the disease is required and the search for an actual method that is effective, reliable and, most importantly, reduces the number of complications to a minimum.
