The study reveals theoretical and practical issues related to the analysis and design of a mobile application for finding interesting places. Separately in the article the criteria, to which the system of searching places and building a route should meet, as well as its main functions are emphasized. The results of a social survey conducted to compile a portrait of mobile application users and to understand their needs are presented. Special emphasis is placed on the stages of mobile application development and an example of user interface is presented.
