Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria is included in the list of orphan blood diseases. It is a rare acquired clonal disease of the blood system characterized by intravascular hemolysis, bone marrow dysfunction and an increased risk of thrombotic and organ complications. Pregnancy with paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria is undesirable due to the increased threat of miscarriage, premature birth, life and health of a woman.
