According to foreign and domestic authors, the incidence of trigeminal neuralgia ranges from 3 to 5 cases per 100,000 population per year. At the same time, this pathology occurs more often in women than in men in a ratio of 6:4, aged 40 years and older. Trigeminal neuralgia (TN) is a disease characterized by a severe, recurrent course and limited effective treatment methods, which significantly affects the patient's quality of life.
