Myocardial fibrosis, representing a global health problem, is closely associated with almost all forms of cardiovascular diseases. Timely detection of myocardial fibrosis is a leading task for healthcare, affecting the improvement of the quality of life of patients. The purpose of the article is to analyze and systematize data on the role of various pathways of the cellular mechanism in the development of myocardial fibrosis, necessary to improve the methods of diagnosis of this pathology. Materials and methods. The review is based on an analytical study of the cellular mechanisms of fibrosis development. The analysis of the pathogenetic mechanisms of fibrosis included an assessment of scientific data on the role of various cellular mechanisms as key links in the pathogenesis of myocardial fibrosis. Results. A systematization of the data on the role of cellular mechanisms and their significance in the development of myocardial fibrosis and its diagnosis and therapy is presented. Conclusions. The conducted review and the presented systematization allow us to objectively assess the role of the cellular mechanism in the pathogenesis of myocardial fibrosis, provide an opportunity for the promising development of new approaches in the treatment of fibrosis, based on cellular theory to select the point of application of treatment, and the identified list of patterns is able to show its effectiveness in the development of high-quality noninvasive diagnosis of myocardial fibrosis.
