The article reveals the need for digitalization of business processes in order to improve the efficiency of modern companies, provides a brief analysis of the conceptual framework and existing approaches to classifying information technology strategies used by business organizations in the interests of ensuring sustainable development and achieving the required level of competitiveness of business entities. The author presents his own interpretation and classification of information technology strategies.
