DEVELOPMENT OF A VISUALIZATION TOOL FOR NETWORK ANALYSIS OF EARTHQUAKE DATA IN THE BAIKAL RIFT ZONE

The article presents a newly developed tool for visual support in network research of natural systems, exemplified by the study of earthquakes in the Baikal rift zone. The requirements for the software product are formulated based on the characteristics of natural systems. Criteria for reviewing visualization tools have been defined. The tool is a web application developed using the "deck.gl" platform. Earthquake data have been declustered into main shocks with an energy class of K ≥ 14 and their aftershocks and are presented in the form of graphs, using a stem network model. Possible directions for the further development of the software product are also considered.
