POSSIBILITY OF EMBEDDING VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUND (VOCS) SENSORS INTO 3D PRINTERS FUSED DEPOSITION MODELING (FDM) FOR ADVANCED ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING AND CONTROL

Sharara Simbarashe   (Moscow State University of Technology «STANKIN » )

One of the most relevant trends in the development of technological processes is ensuring environmental safety. Environmental control allows you to regulate and reduce the negative impact of production processes in the environmental sphere. One of the areas of modern scientific and technological progress that poses a danger to the environment is the use of 3D printers using the technology of deposited deposition. The main negative factor is the release of volatile organic compounds into the environment. The main purpose of the presented article is to perform an analysis regarding the possibility of solving the initial problem by monitoring and controlling emissions based on embedded volatile compound sensors. Because of the work, a comprehensive review of research issues related to the organization and technical features of solving the problem of environmental control by embedding sensors of volatile organic compounds was carried out. The author has obtained unique conclusions that not reflected in current scientific researches on this issue. The paper presents the results of an analysis regarding the technical issues of integrating the sensors into the circuitry and the placement of the sensors, as well as organizational issues confirming the advantages and expediency of solving the initial problem at the expense of these funds. It was assumed that the use of the presented materials would significantly reduce the negative impact on the environment when using industrial 3D printers using the technology of fuse deposition modelling.
