This paper presents a deep neural network method for identifying lactic acid-producing microorganisms using the YOLOv8 architecture. It focuses on image database collection, annotation, data augmentation, and pre-training to improve model accuracy. The research aims to create an effective classification system based on visual characteristics. Results indicate that the model achieves an mAP of 89% and recall of 84%, highlighting its efficiency. The findings suggest that modern computer vision technologies can automate microorganism identification, streamlining laboratory and production processes.
