The article presents a study of tools aimed at enhancing zoo visitor engagement through the use of interactive IT technologies. It proposes a prototype of a web application featuring an interactive map with gamification elements, enabling visitors to earn virtual currency by completing educational tasks, which can be exchanged for souvenirs and zoo services. The integration of augmented reality (AR) technologies is explored to create immersive and educational experiences, such as virtual animal models and guided tours. The study also highlights personalized route planning and the use of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) technology for virtual guides providing accurate information. The research underscores the significance of these technologies in boosting engagement, education, and visitor convenience, thereby improving satisfaction and enhancing the zoo’s competitiveness.
