A STUDY ON INNOVATIVE LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY METHODS IN THE TREATMENT OF COMPLEX ABDOMINAL DISEASES IN ELDERLY PATIENTS

Our study is devoted to the analysis of innovative approaches to the application of laparoscopic methods during surgical treatment of complex abdominal diseases in elderly patients. The topic is relevant due to the high occurrence of the pathology and the need to improve the effectiveness and safety of surgical interventions in elderly patients with an aggravated comorbid background. The purpose of the study was to comparatively evaluate the immediate and long-term results of using various modifications of laparoscopic techniques in patients over 60 years of age. Clinical, laboratory, instrumental, and statistical methods were employed in the work. The data of 87 patients operated on during the period from 2018 to 2023 were analyzed. The use of improved laparoscopic techniques was found to ensure a reduction in the incidence of intra- and postoperative complications by 18.4% (p<0.05), a reduction in the duration of hospital stay by 3.2±1.1 days (p<0.01), and an improvement in the quality of life indicators (0.88). The obtained results reveal prospects for optimizing surgical approaches in elderly patients and can be applied in the development of personalized treatment algorithms. Further interdisciplinary research is necessary to maximize customization of laparoscopic methods and expand the indications for their use in elderly people.
