With increasing production capacity, the impact of human activities on ecosystems increases. Water resources are becoming one of the vulnerable components of the environment. Pollution of water bodies leads to the death of aquatic organisms. Natural resources are used as the basis of sorption materials used for wastewater treatment. The research topic related to wastewater treatment is relevant. The purpose of this work is to analyze foreign and domestic publications on the sorption of pollutants, including dyes from wastewater, from primary flax processing waste. Flax processing waste includes tow, bonfire and short fiber. The performed analytical review allows us to conclude that sorption materials, including fibrous ones, which are waste from the primary processing of flax, can be used in wastewater treatment from such dyes as Alazarin Red S, C.I. Direct Red 81 and Reactive Red 228.
