The relevance of the topic of this study is due to the progressive growth of periodontal diseases, which, according to WHO, occupy the second place in the structure of pathological conditions of the oral cavity. At the same time, the development of generalized inflammatory and destructive changes in the tissues of the periodontal complex is presented in most modern scientific studies as a local manifestation of systemic pathology. The relationship between the progression of periodontal tissue damage and the presence of general somatic diseases has been repeatedly proven experimentally. Moreover, the severity and duration of the latter directly affects similar indicators of the course of pathological conditions in the tissues of the periodontal complex.
