ALGORITHM OF THE EXPERT SYSTEM FOR QUALITY CONTROL OF STEEL PIPE MANUFACTURING

This article addresses the issue of improving quality control efficiency in steel pipe production, which is currently hindered by a fragmented approach to quality assurance at different stages of production. This approach complicates the formation of a holistic view of the product quality and leads to increased time and labor costs due to the necessity of manual inspections. To address this problem, an algorithm was developed to automate the quality control process, integrating all stages of production. The algorithm reduces the time required for inspections and enhances the accuracy of quality assessment. The effectiveness evaluation of the algorithm’s implementation demonstrated a significant reduction in inspection time and a 21.3% improvement in labor productivity. This indicates a positive impact of automating the quality control process and opens up opportunities for further improvement and optimization of steel pipe production.
