Pelvic varicose veins are a significant clinical problem in obstetric practice, associated with a high risk of perinatal complications. This study revealed a systemic negative impact of this pathology on the gestational process, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. Patients with varicose veins had a complicated premorbid background with a predominance of dysplastic connective tissue changes and associated gynecological pathology. The course of pregnancy was characterized by the development of fetoplacental insufficiency and associated obstetric complications. In the intrapartum period, labor dysfunctions were observed, and in the postpartum period, inflammatory and involutional complications were observed. A negative impact on the condition of the fetus was established, manifested by growth retardation syndrome, chronic hypoxia, and perinatal pathology. The data obtained confirm the need to classify pregnant women with varicose veins as a high-perinatal-risk group and develop differentiated approaches to their care at all stages of gestation.
