An urgent task at the design stage of waste sorting complexes located on the territory of large settlements or landfills for the processing of MSW is the creation of a modern automated system for the collection and processing of bulky waste (CSW). The size of the CSF does not allow them to be processed at incinerators and directly in the body of the MSW landfill without preliminary sorting and crushing into smaller fractions. At the same time, for reasons of economic and environmental expediency, it is also desirable to recycle MSW with a high metal content, including recyclable household appliances, separately, with the allocation of valuable recyclable elements. The article discusses solutions related to the modern organization and automation of technological processes aimed at: speeding up sorting processes; increasing the volume of recoverable and commercially sold recyclables; automated accounting of the volume and mass of recyclable waste and the resulting recyclables. The solutions proposed in the article in the field of control and automation of technological processes can be used by design organizations and regional operators engaged in the transportation and processing of bulky waste.
