READABILITY ANALYSIS FOR DIFFERENT TYPES OF TEXT

This article experimentally tested the effectiveness of Oborneva's formula on texts of various genres and determined the limits of its applicability to Russian-language texts. Based on the study, it was found that Oborneva's formula is effective for fiction, educational, and journalistic texts, confirming its validity for its intended application. Critical limitations were identified for technical documents with extreme syntactic parameters, where the formula exceeds the scale. English-language Flesch formulas are systematically inapplicable to Russian texts; all FRE results are negative or incorrect.
