This paper explores the application of the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to the design of a production system. The relevance of the study is driven by the increasing complexity of modern industrial systems and the need for formalized descriptions at early stages of the system life cycle. The paper demonstrates that the use of MBSE enables an integrated representation of the system, improves requirements traceability, and reduces design risks. The Arcadia methodology is used as the methodological basis of the study.
