Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) is currently one of the most common gynecological pathologies [1]. According to WHO estimates, approximately 450 million cases are registered annually, the majority of which occur in women of reproductive age (18 to 24 years) [2,3]. According to author N.A. Burova, PID occurs in 65% of inpatient cases and 30% of outpatient cases [4]. The most common form is salpingo-oophoritis, which is often accompanied by anemia [5]. The combination of PID and anemia requires a more competent approach to diagnosis and treatment by obstetricians and gynecologists.
