FEATURES OF THE COURSE OF COMBINED MECHANICAL AND THERMAL LESIONS

Savinkov Igor Yurevich  (Adjunct Federal State Budgetary Military Educational Institution of Higher Education "Military Medical Academy named after S.M. Kirov" of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation» )

This article highlights some of the features of the course of such individual types of wounds as "combined mechanical and thermal lesions". The wounded, who suffered simultaneous mechanical and thermal injuries, are among the most difficult cases among the victims. The fact of a relatively high proportion of wounded in the first year of a special military operation highlights the likelihood of an increase in the number of such incidents in the future. The methodology of this study uses a retrospective analysis of information from the medical records of patients treated in the anesthesiological and intensive care units. The study defined criteria for a sample of participants, including patients with thermal and mechanical injuries, in isolation or in combination. The structure of patients treated in the Department of Anesthesiology and intensive care in the period 2014-2022 was analyzed. Despite the abundance of classifications of isolated injuries, which make it possible to determine their severity and predict the outcome, this remains an unresolved problem for combined mechanical and thermal injury. To solve it, the key task is to study the manifestations of mutually aggravating factors by comparative analysis of the course of isolated burn, mechanical and combined injuries. A comparative analysis of medical histories revealed manifestations of the phenomenon of mutual aggravation in groups of victims with combined mechanical and thermal lesions with severe, extremely severe and critical burns.

Keywords:combined lesions, wounds, thermal lesions, combined mechanical and thermal lesions, mutual aggravation syndrome.
