The article entitled touches upon the issues of the contemporary import substitution in the sphere of hydrocarbon marine transportation in Russia. It gives a brief outline of the current situation and describes the economic environment underlying marine transportation in which the substitution should develop, furthermore it covers the existing tendencies in the said sphere.
