The article represents the data of plants' chemical composition grown under the conditions of technogenic load. Plants differ from each other in their ability to accumulate heavy metals. The fluctuations in the elemental composition are related both to the type of a plant and to the concentration of heavy metals in the soil. According to the total accumulation of heavy metals per unit of a product of natural moisture, these plants can be ranged in the following decreasing sequence: onion> beet>garden radish> potato> carrot> cabbage.

Keywords:heavy metals, plants, soil, anthropogenic load, maximum permissible concentration.
