Non-destructive testing of wooden utility poles by the method of free oscillations with the use of RFID transponders

In this article the authors discuss the problem of field inspection of utility wooden poles (electricity posts). The authors also describe their new acoustic method of utility poles testing (measurement of pole natural frequencies) and how the implementation of RFID tags can improve this new non-destructive method.
