Discrete-event simulation of transport flows of a large city

In this article, theoretical aspects of simulation modeling are considered. Features of discrete-event modeling as one of simulation approaches are described. The possibilities of optimization of transport streams with the use of simulation models on the example of the transport network of St. Petersburg are analyzed.
