Large Russian insurer as a systemic risk for the insurance industry

The systemic risk this is a risk when negative impact of one participant of the market will extend to other participants or to allied industries that will lead to large-scale economic losses and destabilizes all system. These risks generally considered regarding the investment and banking markets, but in this article the author analyzes possibility of systemic risk in the insurance market - on the example of bankruptcy of the large insurer. As in recent years cash flows between branches of economy have increased, and process of transfer of systemic risk has considerably become simpler. In article the conclusion is drawn that, despite considerable interdependence between the insurance, bank markets and the real sector of economy, the possibility of distribution of crisis from insurance company is insignificant.
