Geometric methods for tracing of three dimensional engineering networks

Describes the methods of selecting the optimal volume - planning decisions on the trace of branched engineering networks. A theoretical solution of this problem is based on the Steiner’s construction in three-dimensional space with orthogonal metric. The geometric model of the network is represented as the shortest line connecting the fixed point set.
