Technical examination of pipelines for natural gas transportation

Ensuring the safety of hazardous production facilities is one of the main objectives of which are regulated at the legislative level. One of the important facilities is pipelines for transporting natural gas. Since the operation of such facilities is associated with a high probability of occurrence of accidents and incidents, the provision of industrial safety requirements in their regard should be carefully monitored. An important event in the framework of this is technical diagnostics. This article describes the main aspects of technical diagnostics of pipelines to transport natural gas. The main problems of diagnosing these objects were analyzed. New approaches to control of latent defects will more accurately identify the condition of the pipes, which has a positive effect on their safe operation.
