Problems of the consolidated supervision of banking groups and holding companies

The present level of financial globalization and global trends to create a banking group and holding companies, give rise to specific risks, which places increased demands on supervisors. As a consequence, there is a need to improve the supervisory process. The author made an attempt to reflect the problems of supervision of banking groups and holding companies in the Russian Federation. Also, the article presents the main areas of possible reform of banking supervision in accordance with international experience.
