The financial system of the region: structural-functional aspect

The regional financial system is regarded as an independent object of scientific research and practical management the region to be treated as territory within the administrative borders of a subject of Federation. This aspect reflects the economic and administrative control of the territory, that gives a possibility to include not only the federal subject level, but also the municipal level in the regional financial system architecture. Based on the analysis of existing approaches to the interpretation of the concept «financial system», the regional financial system structure is explained, its subject-object characterization is given, the functional role of each part of the financial system is revealed in the real interaction, aimed at effective and sustainable development of the region.
