The process of social reproduction in many ways determined by the efficiency of regional economic policy. The article contains a generalization of research on its study in terms of renewal of fixed assets in the Murmansk region. The authors of describes the features of economic activities and the main problems of economic policy in the region that are holding back the process of modernization and upgrading. The authors also make recommendations to address them.
