Important issues of insurance fraud and measures for its prevention in marine insurance

This article provides an outline of the analysis of the fraud on the insurance market, its reasons and consequences on all the participants of the insurance market as well as the tendencies and precautionary measures aimed at decreasing the number of swindlers in the process of the insurance contracts agreement. The study identifies the current problems combined with the origin of the fraud on the insurance market and in particular in the marine insurance under the current economic trends and the development of global financial markets which has a significant effect on the risk of insurance coverage.
