the article examines forensic features of production of documentary checks (audits) in the process of developing and investigating crimes related to inappropriate expenditure of funds, provides recommendations for achieving the effectiveness of the investigative procedure, the optimal use of its evidentiary potential. Based on the analysis of various investigative cases and practical examples, formulated the interrelation between the efficiency of separate stages of crimes investigation related to inappropriate expenditure of funds and forming of evidential base.
