Small towns in the regional system of population resettlement: directions of development

the author discusses the directions of development of small towns within a regional system of population settlement. It is shown that most of the domestic small cities combines both urban and rural sustainable features and represent the symbiosis of material production and agricultural specialization. It is concluded that it is necessary, if possible, to contribute positively proven itself in the Soviet period, the settlement approach, which is based on the principle of the system displacement in a small city, which would intensify their development without entering into a larger regional system of population settlement.
