In this article the authors by analyzing the actual problems of the Russian labor market, notes that modern labor market is a dialectical unity of the legal, institutional, financial mechanisms, legal norms, state and public institutions, thanks to the efforts which the consumption and reproduction of labor power. Using historical and legal research method, the authors emphasizes that the attempt of self-regulation of the domestic market in 90-e years of the XX century did not succeed. The authors reveals the creative role of the state in the development of the labour market, which promotes accessibility of public services in employment, allows in the conditions of postcrisis economy to reduce unemployment, to improve social protection of the population.
