this article discusses the main directions of criticism of state corporations that were used as a reason for documents adopted on the reform of the civil legisla-tion and for measures taken to reduce the number of state corporations. The main issues of criticism were the issues related to the legal nature of the state corporations, individual regulation through laws, the absence of constituent documents, the lack of general regulation of state corporations, high risk of corruption, low economic effectiveness of their operation.
