Decision on excitation of criminal case

The stage of initiation of a criminal case is provided for in criminal proceedings to determine in a particular situation the presence of signs of a crime that indicate the need for further investigation within the framework of an initiated criminal case. The law relates the beginning of criminal procedure to the issuing of a decision on the initiation of a criminal case. The article discusses topical issues of theory and practice of decision-making on the initiation of criminal proceedings.
