In the article the basic directions of activity of bodies of municipal government in the conservation and promotion of cultural heritage of the Yenisei province in the second half of the XIX century. Analyzed the vectors of interaction and cooperation of the city authorities with the General public, private charity in the creation and development of cultural institutions: museums, theatres and libraries.
